LAND OF BLOOD AND GOLD (LOBAG) Version 0.2AUGUST 2010Have started writing about this game on my blog at www.jamesclifton.com, here I talk about new concepts that the game will have. This game is currently being created, please read below to see what has been 'completed' and what is being worked on. Note that the game is in 'Alpha' mode (this means that it is playable but it's buggy and unstable) - I need people to help me test this game in order to get it up and running. If you are wondering why the game is being redesigned (because it was up and running 2 years ago) it is because this game was being programmed in ASP language on an ACCESS database, but it was having problems with the small amount of players I was havingso now it is being programmed in PHP language on a MYSQL database.
VERSION HISTORYGreen means that it is done, olive means I am currently working on it while Red means that I haven't started on it.Hi; if you are reading this
I would love your help. At the moment it's just my brother and I testing
this game regularly, I program while he tests everything including game balance. We
are sending each other about 5 emails per day! This is a an online browser fantasy textual role playing adventure (RPG) game
(also known as a PBBG -persistent
browser-based game) where you control your character (choose from over 20 classes) in order to forge
your destiny. Using your intellect and over one hundred different skills
your character will be able to follow many different career choices. You start the game as a Fighter/Amazon, Thief/Rogue, Sorcerer/Sorceress or
Priest/Cleric but you can become a Druid/Druidess, Ninja, Samurai, Monk/Nun, Bard, Paladin, Ranger, Wizard, Necromancer, Shaman or Knight (some classes
will be hard to join while others will be easy). You can be any of the major races - Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome or Orc. Note that the graphics are pretty bad at this time :) Any artists out there who wish to lend a hand are most welcome. For that
matter 'adventure creators' are welcome as well. You MUST log in to play this; accounts are free to
create. If you have an account at 'Clifton Bazaar' then please use
that. |
